Due to popular demand, this session will be similar to our presentation given at SLA 2012 in Chicago and 2013 in San Diego. The premise is straightforward - the session attendees will be introduced to three competitive intelligence analytic tools or methodologies that will have practical value to information professionals. To aid the learning process, we will develop a case study exercise using a well-known industry or companies and have the session participants work through the analytical process of each tool. The presenters will provide analytical templates that can be used to organize, evaluate and analyze business information and provide guidance to the attendees on when and how to apply the techniques.
This session will benefit attendees as they learn new ways to collaborate with their internal corporate peers and develop analytical conclusions to support marketing, sales, strategic planning and product development in their respective companies.
