This session will spotlight efforts on the part of Parks Canada and the National Park Service (in cooperation with Clemson University and the Digital Public Library of America) to provide digital and social media access to the wonders of our National Parks.
Program Take-Aways 1) Learn about the efforts of the National Park Service (in partnership with the Digital Public Library of America and Clemson Univ.) and Parks Canada to provide libraries and library users with the capability to virtually visit their parks and explore their history and natural beauty.
2) Learn how these agencies are utilizing YouTube, Facebook, and other social media tools as outreach mechanisms to reach their constituencies and what they are planning for the future.
