The Evolving Information Professional: Changing Roles, New Opportunities

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

The definition and role of a librarian has changed dramatically over the past 20 years. At the same time, new information-related fields have emerged, offering new opportunities. Our panel will look at where these changes have taken us professionally and where they see them leading us in the future.

Program Take-Aways
  1. Learn why the definition and role of a "librarian" has changed over the past two decades and where outside  of traditional libraries, librarians and information professionals can now be found.

  2. Learn from a panel of experts where they believe librarianship is heading and areas of opportunity that are emerging for those with the skill sets found within most librarians and information professionals.
